Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: WHAT IS THE COST OF A PROPERTY SURVEY?
- A: The cost of a property survey is not a predetermined amount due to the amount of
variables involved. These variables include the size of the property, information available (paper AND field), history of
property, location of property and geographic conditions (forestland, bodies of water, swamps, marshes, open space, level or
mountainous). Once these variables are determined, our office will be able to give you a competitive cost estimate for the
services that you need.
- Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET A PERMIT APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION?
- A: Depending on the type of permit, it has been our experience on past projects that final approval on mining
permits usually takes at least six (6) months for D.E.P to review. Also, office design and application completion
generally ranges from a minimum of two (2) weeks for a Small Non-Coal Permit to
one (1) month for a Large Non-Coal or Coal permit.
However, our office will work with the client to the best of our ability to meet all deadlines necessary.
